Ukraine's statistics committee confirms GDP growth assessment for Q2, 2011 at 3.8%

Ukraine's real gross domestic product in Q2, 2011 grew by 3.8% compared to 2010, the State Statistics Service reported on Friday.
The service said that nominal GDP came to UAH 316.48 billion. The published indicator matches the preliminary assessment published by the service in late July.
In Q2, 2011 the service revised Ukraine's GDP growth in Q1, 2011, improving it to 5.3% from 5.2%. Nominal GDP in Q1, 2011 came to UAH 263.55 billion. The government forecasts that GDP growth in 2011 will reach 4.7%.
The government says that GDP growth in January-August exceeded 5%, a figure the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) supported.
