Real wages in Ukraine 9.3% up year-on-year over seven months

Real wages in Ukraine grew in January-June 2010 by 9.3% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee has reported.
The committee said that in July 2010 real wages remained at the level of the previous month and grew by 13.1% year-over-year.
The highest growth of real wages in the first seven months of 2010 was seen in Rivne (14%), Volyn (13.3%), Poltava (13%), Dnipropetrovsk (13%), Cherkasy (12.8%), Luhansk (12.5%), Kirovohrad (11.5%) and Chernivtsi (11.2%) regions.
The committee also said that in January-July the average wage of full-time employees grew by 18.9%, to UAH 2,144. The average wage in July 2010 grew by 26.3% year-over-year by 4.6% compared to June 2010, to UAH 2,684.
