TUI Ukraine tourist company will in April launch a program of chartered flights to Turkey, and hopes to win 5-15% of the Ukrainian tourist flow to Turkey by the end of 2012.
"The volume of flow isn't big. This year we're going to occupy 5-15% of the general flow of Ukrainians to Turkey," the business development director at TUI Ukraine, Alper Tekayak, told at a press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine on Friday.
In his turn, the sales and marketing director at TUI Ukraine, Taras Demura, predicted that the flow of Ukrainian tourists to Turkey would total about 600,000 people in 2012, compared to 450,000 in 2011.
According to Tekayak, Windrose airline will carry out chartered flights four times a week to Antalya and Dalaman from terminal F of Boryspil airport in Ukraine.
"From Ukraine, 30-35% of the tourists go to Turkey, because it's not far away and no visa is necessary. Today, just 3% of Ukrainian population can afford holidays abroad. That's why we call Ukraine a boom-market, because it could be improved," he said.
As director general of TUI Ukraine Volodymyr Schupak said, the company offers its clients in Turkey accommodation at hotels of its own brands, such as Club Magic Life, Iberotel Hotel & Resort, Robinson, Suntopia, RIU and also the Fun & Sun entertainment program.
"This year we're offering a new concept for the first time, the Fun & Sun hotel for the local population. The first Fun & Sun Jacaranda hotel in Belek has 650 rooms. In August a hotel with 450 rooms will open in Egypt. We also want to add this new concept in Greece and Spain," he said.
Moreover, TUI Ukraine is offering holidays at A la Carte, Toucan Club Hotels, and Couple hotels that provide unlimited access to aqua-parks.
Schupak also reported that they decided to revive the "Around Europe in a Hurry" brand. At the same time, from June 1 two networks of tourist agencies will be operating: TUI network offering its own product and oriented to the "middle" and middle plus" segments, and the one offering a more wide choice of services for higher prices.
TUI Ukraine was created in August 2009 after TUI Russia & CIS bought 75% of the shares of the Ukrainian Voyage-Kiev tourist company.
As reported, 185 people work in the company. TUI Ukraine cooperates with more than 4,000 tourist agencies. Seventy-eight TUI agencies are located in Ukraine.
