Ukraine - largest importer of metal products to EU by January results

KYIV, February 16 /UKRINFORM/. Ukraine by results of January appeared to be the largest importer of metal products to the EU. According to recent data of the European Commission, published by energy information agency Platts, total volume of bids from Ukraine amounted to 360,000 tons, which is less against December indexes amounting to 396,000 tons.
Total volume of bids for metal products import to 27 EU countries in January 2011 amounted to 24,000 tons, which is 29% up against the previous month and 61% up against January 2010.
Turkey follows Ukraine with the indexes of 315,000 tons, China - 264,000 tons, Russia - 190,000 tons and Switzerland - 181,000 tons.
