Ministry of Agriculture: Ukraine increases farm product exports in 2011 by 30%

Ukraine has increased exports of agricultural products in 2011 by 30%, Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk told the press Tuesday.
"This year export potential has enhanced. Exports of agricultural products rose and amounts to USD 10 billion. The foreign trade balance is positive and equals to almost USD 4.8 billion," said the minister.
According to him, Ukraine has entered the top three grain exporters in the world in 2011: "On barley, we won the first place, on wheat - the sixth place. Ukraine also ranks second in world production of sunflower oil ... First place - on exports of these products," Prysiazhniuk underscored.
