John Deere to increase number of dealers in Ukraine to seven in 2011
3 December 2010
John Deere Corporation (the United States), the world leader in the production of agricultural equipment, is planning in 2011 to expand its dealer and service network in Ukraine, increasing the number of dealers from five to seven, according to a company press release citing John Deere-Ukraine CEO Peter Krimm.

The company plans to strengthen its dealer network through providing the most convenient distance between the dealer centers (for the delivery of spares to a consumer within two or two and a half hours at most from the time an application is submitted), technical maintenance services and consulting on technical issues.

"Ukraine is one of the most important markets for us among the CIS countries. From the geographical and infrastructural points of view, this is a central region that traditionally provides Europe and the rapidly growing Asian markets with food, and the fertile soil, climate, farm structures and infrastructure make Ukraine an ideal partner at the global level," Krimm said.

He said Ukraine should make good use of this advantage, as demand for food and raw materials for bio fuel production in the near future will only grow on neighboring markets.
