During 21 - 24 of November 2010 in Kyiv will take place - Belgian economic mission. The mission will be headed by His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium.
It is planned that Prince Philippe of Belgium, who is to be accompanied by Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Steven Vanackere, will meet with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov.
As part of the Economic Mission, Ukraine is going to be visited by the representatives of 105 Belgian companies and organizations that operate in such sectors - agriculture, transportation, logistics, food processing, energy conservation and efficiency, pharmacy, construction and architecture, financing and investment, etc.
John Cornet, an advisor of the prince, said that the agenda of the mission was formed by Belgian business, and Belgian businessmen initiated the idea of visiting Ukraine.

During January - May 2010 compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, bilateral trade between Ukraine and Belgium grew up by 19% to 284 million dollars. The export of goods from Ukraine rose by 41% to 99 million dollars, while imports from Belgium - 10% to almost 186 million dollars.
